Tai-Chi
A Taoist monk called Chang San-Feng combined his traditional medicine knowledge and the skills of the Shaolin warrior monks to create a gentle flowing series of exercises that corrects irregularities in posture and breathing, whilst invigorating and rejuvenating the body in the process. It is noted for its ability to increase the circulation of vital energy known as Qi that flows around the body and services the vital organs via the ‘meridian system’. The Tai Chi and Qigong exercise systems serve to unblock such obstructions and restore the smooth flow of energy so that the body can re-balance itself.
Much of each session comprises Qigong exercises. Qi means energy whilst Gong is exercise or skill, so the meaning is energy skill with time and effort. Some of the exercises are around 4000 years old and have developed alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine as a way of improving and maintaining health. As with Tai Chi, many of the exercises are allied to meditation to calm the mind as well as the body.
SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can it be practised with other exercise systems. The answer to this is yes. This can be by optimising potential in either your work or home life or through improved health, helping boost confidence The Coach helps the client to gain insight about the unsatisfactory aspects of their life and encourages them to move in the right direction. The relationship between Coach and Client is one of partnership with the Client clearly in control of their actions and choices.
Much Coaching now is personal, working on improvements in the work/life balance, social life, health improvement or lifestyle. The Coach's role is to help the client to learn whilst nourishing and encouraging growth.
The usual format is through a series of conversations, either face to face or by telephone over a period of time in which blockages are identified and goals to move forward are agreed. Most meetings are Client and Coach although sometimes couples wish, or need to work as a pair on improvements.
Business based coaching can involve a single session assisting with Interview Techniques or Project Management or a series of meetings to aid the client grow their own management skills.

Meditation is a skill anyone can master and use to still the mind, control breathing and achieve a sense of calm, essential in the ever increasing pressure and rush of today's world. It is an ideal counter to stress and tension.
Eight week courses are offered throughout North-East wales as well as shorter courses and individual tuition.
The eight week course is a practical introduction to meditation and how to integrate it into your life to create periods of calm stillness in the mind and body. The practice unites mind, body and spirit to combat the stresses and rush of 21st. Century life and will help you learn to relax. The course content is spiritual but, whilst drawing from Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity, it is not a religious course and does not promote any particular belief.
